does anyone know where to go for good spanish courses in mexico city?
i’d prefer something intensive, at least 3-4 hours a day, and in the condesa/ roma area. many thanks
I studied at Alliant International University. It’s a very small school, so the quality of Spanish instruction that you will get there will depend very much on the individual professors that are available at the time. But you’ll probably have a very small class. When I was there I happened to be the only student at my level at the time, so I had a private class. The school can also help set you up to stay with a family who lives near there, if you desire to do so. Enjoy your time in Mexico City! It’s a great place. Say hi to my chilango friends — I miss them.

The Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey is one of Mexico’s most prestigious universities. They have these intensive summer courses in several cities, I would recommend Monterrey but there are other locations. Check their website, http://www.itesm.com.mx and find out more about their language department. Many americans take these summer courses during june and july, and if you so need it there are dorms where you can stay. This is a private university by the way and one of the best in all Latin America. I would not recommend Mexico City especially the Condesa or Roma sectors, Mexico city is a dangerous place for tourists.
