I will be doing around 1 hour a day (every single day) starting in about a week and by August 31st, what lesson will I be on? I ordered lessons 1, 2, and 3. How long will it take me to become "fluent?"
I'm sorry I meant LEVEL not lesson.
Besides Rosetta Stone you can sink into the music and culture and make your learning easier. 4 months.
I want to learn spanish but the price of rosetta stone is too steep. I would like to know from a Spanish speaker’s point of view but others are welcome. Are their any good free alternatives?
thanks you
I think the old fashioned way is best. Take a class. Learn the basics: pronouns, conjugation, tenses. Once you have the basics down, you can teach yourself although it is easier if you are around spanish speaking people and you are brave enough to speak to them. Just keep practicing and adding to your vocabulary. I took basic spanish classes in high school, then later learned to speak fluently by conversing with other people.
I looked on the rosetta stone website, but the discs cost way 2 much!!!! Then, I looked on ebay and other websites, but they were the same price!!!!!! I need help, so does anyone no where I can get rosetta stone for cheap or free?
You should check to see of your school has it on their computers; many do. Also, your school library. If that fails, your local public library should certainly have it and if not, most are pretty good at getting it for you but you might have to wait for them to order it.
In the meantime, you might find a Spanish-learning website online for free. there are so many. Just type "learn Spanish online free" into your browser and you'll see tons of websites. It's just a matter of you checking them and finding one or two that are to your liking since each one has its own style.
You can’t. Only registered and paid up students can access them.
If you knew someone who is following the courses, you might get access under their name at their e-mail address, but it could not be transferred to yours and it is unlikely that anyone who has paid for it would want to share. Even then it would not help you much because they would already have covered the same material that you want.
In my line of work it would help to be bilingual.
Tougher online, but possible. Lots of online sites to help you out, including www.studyspanish.com Good luck/Buena suerte!!
I seaarched for a computer based Spanish course for my daughter and found Rosetta Stone to be the most expensive but most highly recommened — she is using it now and doing very well. The first lesson has the learning listening, reading and speaking the language. I bought it online but the discs and booklets are sent by mail to use on your own computer

I have already taken two spanish courses in my middle school years (I am homeschooled). Do I still have to take a foreign language course in college?
Yes…I took spanish in Middle schoo and high school 2 years..that doesnt count towards colloege, its not college level
but I have no idea about the quality of the classes at Enforex. Any idea? i would be grateful!
it is a good language school
here is the link for their website:
I can already converse in Spanish, though probably more on the level of a child's ability. Indeed there is considerable room for improvement, especially in the areas of reading and writting. With that being said, would there be any additional benefits aside from becoming more fluent? I'm already an engineer, so I'm not planning on a career as a translator.
There are approx. 900 million people in the world who consider Spanish as their primary tongue. You would be able to communicate clearly with this huge demographic's engineering society. I think that's significant in today's globalized economy.
Besides, any American who can speak a second language will tend to be much more respected by his/her foreign counterparts and business partners. Trust me.
