Can anyone tell me what verb tenses and grammar are taught on each level of spanish rosetta stone latin america? I’ve already learned present, past, future, imperfect, reflexive, and i’ve learned direct/indirect objects (i’ve taken 2 years of spanish in hs). What level of rosetta stone should start on? 1, 2, 3?
start on level 1 or 2, even if you have heard/learned the stuff before, never hurts to be reminded, repetition is the best teacher! =)
I have a little bit of a Spanish background in me and I already now very basic Spanish like how to introduce myself and talk about where I’m from, my family and my job, I was wondering if I buy Rosetta Stone Spanish levels 1-3 how quickly will I become strong in the language??
Nope its a frud
Rosetta Stone is probably the most pirated software out there. any good bit torrent sharing site should have a cracked version. you might try thepiratebay.org
Basically what the question asks. Have you ever used the computer based language software Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish or another Latin based language like French, Italian, or Portuguese? How long did you use it, did you complete all or most of the lessons/levels, and did it work for you?
If you’ve used it for another language like German or Dutch feel free to answer but I’m planning on using it for Spanish or one of the other major Romance languages.
I haven’t personally used but I’ve read it only teaches how to get by. They’ve also said it’s not worth your money .

I am debating whether or not to take a beginner Spanish course online through my college. I have never had spanish before, and want to start learning.
Is it better to take in an actual class, (to get the experience hearing and speaking it with other people) or online?
Is it harder to do online without a teacher right there correcting you as you go along?
Thank you for helping me with this issue!!
i took 3 years of spanish in high school, never could figure it out even in that setting. i then took japanese at berlitz. i just finished taking first semester of greek online. you get a cd and you follow a specific program. it was really the best way as it is self paced and more relaxing. you can go over and over what you have difficulty with while not feeling incompetent that others are getting it and you may not be.
good luck!
i need to know what stores they are most commonly found in.
thanks.
I tried Rosetta Stone for Spanish. It does not have any translation, grammar or conjugation instructions though so it will be very hard to go beyond the basics with it. There is no way to be fluent with it. Their program is based on the same thing where you see these 4 pictures over and over again. I was disappointed especially for the price I paid.
My college uses a software called TeLL me More, by Auralog. It covers not only the basics, but also intermediate or advanced level. It is also a lot less repetitive. My goal was to become fluent so it was perfect for me. It has a lot of different activities: picture/word association, videos, dialogues,…, includes also grammar and conjugation. It has also more content than any other language software. Their speech recognition is great so you can have a dialogue with the computer. You can check out their website at http://www.auralog.com for a free demo and compare too. You can check out independent reviews on the web too http://www.toptenreviews.com or about.com websites.
The best way to learn a language would be through immersion, visiting these countries. Learning a language will require some time. In addition to software, you can have books which are useful as well. Audio CDs like Pimsleur for instance might help you out but you cannot get any feedback on your pronunciation so I did not like it so much
